Royal Wedding Hat

This is the vintage hat I will be wearing for the royal wedding.
It is made of black velvet with a satin bow, and has a black net veil.

Wow, I'm pea-green with envy. Mine isn't nearly as nice. And I heard you would be sitting alongside the queen so that hat will definitely be the coup de gras of the wedding! Btw, who is it gettin' hitched? lol

I forgot to mention that the hat
matches my old black flip- flops !

It reminds me of going to church on Sundays as a child. Lovely memories. Thanks.

I'm not into the Royal Wedding thing at all, and some of those hats were just plain awful. Your's on the other hand, very nice, understated which I like. AND people would be able to still see you, and see over and around you.

Thanks for the comment on my Iris Quilt. I love it also!! And, yes, it is the Tennessee state flower and my yard is full of irises, that have mostly already bloomed this year. Our town has their Iris Festival next weekend. The irises will be all gone by then. The festival masters are wanting us to submit our most beautiful irises. Alas, I fear they will not get many. Everything bloomed early this year.

Lovely hat. Did you wear your special hat to the royal wedding? Were you at the luncheon too? Did you curtsey to the Queen?
