Wow, I always knew 1953 was a very good year - love the manual. Now, could we see more of that quilt? Did you make it? It's gorgeous.
I love looking at the old manuals and recipe booklets. Do you still have that "antique" fry pan? I have my Mom's electric fry pan though it's not as old as yours, but I LOVE it to pieces. In fact when the knob broke off on the cover I went in search of a welder who could weld it back on. Need I say more...lurking in someone's (who I didn't know at all) garage probably wasn't the smartest move on my part, but he fixed it and I was happy and none the worse for wear ;) Guess I was lucky this time....
I do not have the fry pan ,and I am not sure whose kitchen the manual
came from. My husband's grandmother made the quilt back in the 40's.
OMG my mother has made the pineapple upside down cake from that book all my life. I have fond memories that come to mind when I see it.
